iWeb

So i spent today trying to figer out iWeb and it went pretty well. The pictures bellow are just what i've managed to do using pictures taken from the web etc. The only thing i haven't managed to work out is how to change the background but i'm going to look in the tutorial and see what i can find.

Reshoot!

Although we got a great amount of filming done wednesday night, we still have a few more shots to get and after uploading the shots we realised a couple of parts we need to reshoot. We are as yet to set a date for this, but here is what we need :

• The overlay shots of Pixie, dancing on the table, sitting on the floor and dancing were too close together losing some of her arms etc so we need to leave a bigger gap between the shots
• A shot of pixie dancing on her own
• A bigger cast so the idea of a house party looks more effective
• Laying on the sofa, original shot too obscure and needs too look more party like
• Mirror reverse shots
• Dancing in the line, look a bit fake, which will also be helped by a bigger cast
• Extreme close ups of pixie singing
• Writing on the face shot
• Vase smashing shot
• Alarm clock shot
• Getting up and walking out of the bedroom for continuity shot
• Spinning disco ball / light shot
• General party shots are needed to create more of a sense of a house party.

Hopefully these can all be obtained on the next shoot, we got loads done on the first shooting so i think we can.

Wooooo Filming!!

Well we started filming yesturday night. It went well and from what we've done today i thinks its goning to be good.
We're struggling with technology but we're getting there and we're going to finish filming on Sunday. We may also reshoot a few things to get the lighting and mise en scene right. Other than that we're attempting to reproduce our multi-person technique using the skills we learnt on Final Express. I think charley's putting some pictures up that we took and the photos for the album cover and the website we'll either do on sunday or at a later date.

Websites

Duffy
-Simple layout with a line of links at the top, a picture on the left (that doesn't change troughout) and information such as blog, pictures or gallery on the right.
-The page for videos is different because the video takes up 3/4 of the left of the page whilst the list of videos is on the right.
-Colours are neutral to match her videos such as blacks and whites. These mute colour are also used to draw attention to the information and image.
-The artists name is on the picture in the same style of her albums.

Cheryl Cole
-The opening page of her website is the news page with up and coming events as well as what cheryl has been up to eg. Glamour magazine cover
-She has a link to her biography which seems to be common among the more commercial artists. -Name is again at the top and in the style of the album cover, providing consistancy.
-The background is plain black, perhaps to draw attention to cheryl or not draw attention away from her.
-The video page is set out the same duffys
-There are adverts down the left side of the page (the same as Pixie's), in comparison to Duffy's page which is plain and uncommercial as its about the music and not the artist whereas Cheryl, as a more commercial artist, promotes her image much more.

Katy Perry
- Katy's website is alternative to other commercial artists and to enter the website you have to go through the 'unplugged' page advertising her concerts.
-Once you get into the website there is a full body image of katy as part of the background and in the style of her image.
-Her name is bold, on the left (different to the other artists), at the top and the same as on her album.
-The links are bellow this but within graphics that are again in this same style.
- There are again advertson the left hand side, advertising her concerts, and products; with information on the right of this. the information includes links and previews (entising to the audience) to the other pages within the site including news, 'pix', telly and 'dear diary'.
- The colour scheme for the the page is baby pinks and blues that match her outfit.
-Finally she has her album in a playlist at the top that plays whilst your viewing the site.

Filming Update

Due to weather we have not been able to start filming therefore now the snow is slowly melting away we can finally start. We have just set a date for our music video filming. We have chosen to shoot it next Wednesday 20th January.
